My vision is of a world where justice, mercy, and humility exist. A world in which people empower and enable each other to be the best versions of themselves according to everyone’s individual calling from God and their subsequent goals.
My mission is to love God and love others through my actions both personally and professionally, demonstrating excellence and servanthood in all things.
My goal is to be a kind and compassionate person who encourages and empowers those around me to be their best through listening, respecting, and believing in their transformative goals. I teach others how to make their best days even better through learning how to manage their time and their homes through my books and writing at homeplainandsimple.com. Health goals are vital to our being and impacts how we live our daily lives. I desire to be an innovator, a change agent, in how women make and obtain health goals, and how they are cared for in pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. I want to be part of creating improved outcomes and better experiences for mother and baby, thus I am pursuing a Master’s degree in Nurse-Midwifery.
Essential oils are valuable for both health and home. I have seen and experienced first-hand their benefits. You can literally change the atmosphere of your home by diffusing oils. It is super-interesting that essential oils impact our health both directly through diffusing them and indirectly by changing stress levels. Did you know that there are several oils mentioned in the Bible? That oils have been used since ancient times? I have seen the use of oils in the healthcare setting for pre-op where a lavender diffusing sticker was placed on the patient’s gown before going to surgery and the diffusion of oils to relax a mom during labor. In my home, we diffuse oils for all sorts of reasons, for example: when we are working on schoolwork and need to focus, when we need to be inspired or elevate the setting, while cleaning, and as part of the bedtime routine.
I joined the Raindrop group because Deb is such a caring person. She will walk alongside a person who needs help, either with oils or otherwise. Deb has been there for me in the past and I know she will be in the future. I love the oils and Deb is the person I wanted to connect with through the doTerra marketing plan.Join Me
Do you want to learn how to build better days? I want to help you do that with the tips and tricks that I have learned over the years.
We all have a place that we live. Learning how to manage our living space and the time we spend there make for the best days. I have a bunch of people in my home and so I write particularly about how to keep a home for more than one person. If you live in a home, and if you want to have better days in your home, then stick around. I’ll help you with that.
Do you love good food, clean clothes, pleasant smells, thoughtful organization, and intentional living? If so, you’ll feel right at home here. That’s what this site and my book Home Management, Plain and Simple are all about.
I moved into my first little house over 25 years ago and promptly started having babies, 9 of them. I love them to the moon and back. Keeping it all clean, orderly, and feeding the tribe has been a challenge! I’ve been writing about it since I first started blogging in 2004. Way back then, I was in an email group of moms and we shared the struggles common to being a human living with other humans. I started blog writing to better explain the things that I found helpful. I’m a practical, straightforward person and that’s how I write, plain and simple. I’m still learning home management skills and I keep writing about how I make the best days better. You can use what I do as a springboard for applying to your unique life. You can make your best days even better!
